Gone FXR 55w,

Got Billinvic to buildem, I enjoyed doing my own build, but had electrical issues that I still to date haven't solved, and his work looks ssssllllliiiiiiiick!
I did mention the 55w earlier but also mention bulb life suffers. I always thought you could go 55w on the minis also, don't see why not. Bilinvic does do amazing work but their is nothing like the satisfaction of knowing you did them yourself. I'm completely satisfied with mine don't think I would have changed anything. Joel your electrical gremlins still boggle my mind and I wish I could have been there to help troubleshoot! Being in Canada shipping from trs can take way to long!

Unsure why - but the h1 mini can't take the heat with the 55w (I believe ). Due to clearance somewhere..

The mini H1 is too small to handle the additional heat from the 5Five bulbs which are actually 50 watts. The bowls will get scorched.

I felt your pain I'd imagine our temperatures are similar since you're one province over expect your DSP ballasts to treat you better.

Today at 5:30am when I set out for work it was -27C and they indeed fired up my SS ballasts would have failed just like yours. I acutally used a blow dryer for a minute or two before to get them to fire until my new ballasts arrived it worked but what a pain that was.
