Wow, I just read through all 52 pages of this with no intention of ever doing retros... Impressed...

Those look awesome.

My rubber housing caps and new halo driver arrived today so I hooked it all up and tapped the new driver into the side marker lights. It looks great lit up!! Now I need some LED switchbacks.

24 Hours..

24 hours is what I got out of my halos. Driver #2 (original LED driver, not the one I just received last night) blew out. Someone give me something to kick please!

Damn.... That sucks. Which connector do you have? I have a 90mm and 120 mm the 90 has a much larger connector and a different regulator than the 120mm . I wonder what's the difference between the two.

I ordered a 100 mm cob halo from suberbright which uses the same identical connector as the 120 from trs, the suberbight stays 'cool' to the touch with slightly less light output. (Even switched the 2 regulators).
i also noticed both trs halos get very hot to the touch . I'm wondering if the trs halos are trying to get too much light output. Once I get my setup finalized well see.

Hopefully yours works out.

The silver is for the 120 halo same one as the suberbright halo

I have the 120mm and I have noticed that the driver looks small. When I get the replacement for the recently blown one and another one goes out I'm going to try getting the drivers from Superbright. Can't be anything to do with the truck, it's a fused circuit. Any surge of power will blow the parking light fuse before it will blow the driver.

Interesting. I wonder if I should just skimp the angel eyes just to avoid any issues.

I feel your pain, mine didn't go quite as fast. But the drivers side one slowly burnt out, and the passenger one followed suit. Although mine were a gen or two older than yours. Good luck, hopefully yours stay on and working after some new drivers.
