as far as f150's go it's either fxr for a full retrofit, or mini h1 for ease of install.

don't think I know anyone who didn't use 1 of those 2

Interestingly enough I've read and followed every page / post of Bil's retrofit thread I've seen plenty of EVOX builds but after lots of research there and at HIDplanet the consensus seems to be the EVOX is for people who use high beams and FXR for optimum low beam use. I would think most people use low beams for 90% of the time FXR is the smarter choice.

The research I've done seems to lean to the FXR having the best reviews I had my eye on EVOX originally but digging deeper FXR was the clear choice for me anyways. It's one of the more difficult DIY options so I had it done by a pro and sucked up the extra cost. Do plenty of research before you make the leap it will save you some buyers remorse down the road especially if you go with aftermarket PnP crap.

I guess I like the fxr because its available in a kit form, nothing wrong with getting everything separate though. I also like they the are a "sealed" unit so no worried about light leaking

Yes - but you'll quickly forget what an FX-R, MH1, or EVOX-R is.

It's a big ol' pickmeup truck - 'Massive' kinda fits in with that.

Picking separate components is no real issue - we do it for audio already. Besides - it's a hobby - eff the budget constraints!

I would do the FXR, the h1 minis were really very basic for the physical install, I'm pretty sure most guys could tackle the FXR, which is a better option if you can do the install.

I currently have the LS460 Bi-Xenon projectors on my truck. They are good, but definitely not my favorite projector and IMHO, not worth the massive $$$ premium.
