I'm dealing with defective products from TRS now. If I would've known I'd have to drop this much money & time into this project I would've easily paid someone to do it. I thought I was being financially smart but now I'm stuck with a pair of pieces of crap that I've dumped so much money into that have issues daily.

Thats cause you have it on BROIL and not BAKE. Broiling something heats from the top, baking from the bottom

 

DAFUQ is going on? I am so glad I didn't have time to build yours.
Mine are going on nine months working 100%.

I will probably have time this summer to work on a retrofit or two. Maybe I shouldn't..
Sadly, DIY is a financially sound option only if **** doesn't go off course.
I hope it gets sorted soon, once and for all.

 

I deff had it on bake. And I think using bake it uses both burners to heat up the air, but in broil, it leaves the top element on.

 

Yes, this is often true. My lower oven uses both elements for preheating, only the bottom one thereafter though.

 

Either you had good luck or there's something I'm missing, because I thought I did these right. The moisture and condensation is not that big of a deal as I know what the issue is, but having stuff break that shouldn't break is awful! Now I'm either going to have to figure out some ghetto-rig solution or re-do the entire side with the spare bucket that I thankfully have with TRS's warranty.

The only thing that stops me from ripping these out is the idea that all the bugs will eventually be gone and I'll eventually have some problem free lights! The light output is sooo worth it.

I just tested my high-beam solenoid,..... it gets stuck every time, guess i got some unfortunate luck as well I'm gunna have to call TRS up and see what can be done. I was so ready to mount the projectors this weekend. err..

 

That sucks man! Maybe try switching the polarity of the prongs on the high beam connector on the ballast? It didn't matter where I put the prongs on the connector, they worked anyway.

Yeah, I tried no dice. The first one works perfect, on any polarity... (knock on wood)
