That's harsh. But on the positive side I'm pretty sure everyone's now crystal clear on who the *** is

I don't understand why you guys think this post is do bad. Some people just ask really dumb questions. Kind of like the one about using the funnel to fill your gas tank at the pump. WTF!!! I don't get it maybe I'm a *** too but my god don't be so dumb.

Hey, it is unfortunate that you were the recipient of some negative comments/responses on your posting.

I think [most] on this forum understand an honest question, maybe even on an issue that others might have read something about previously, or discovered while reading the multi-page owner’s manual. While some questions or offerings may be so obvious as to appear very funny and may incur a jab or a humorous comment; however, I do not think that any sincere question, no matter how obvious the answer may be to others, is stupid or dumb!

I have read my owners manual, and the dealer brochure, cover to cover; yet, I am still learning new things here most every day.

So, for you and others who may be too timid to post, as well as the lurkers, who may now be reluctant to post a question, don’t worry or be dissuaded!! The primary purpose of a forum like this is for providing/sharing experiences and information. The last I checked, there was not an admonition at the top of this website, which cautions members to fully research all questions before asking them.

Moreover, it seems that as new members come on board, there are always repetitive questions; this is just the dynamic of a board like this. I usually will try and answer the question, and then refer the person to the previous link or thread on the similar or same topic; e.g. tire sizes, where is the fuse box, how do you fold down the rear seats, info on leveling kits vs. lift kits, what oil to use, how often to change the oil, where is the ATF dipstick located, etc, etc.

Last, if you have any experience on internet forums, you will come to realize that while there is the common link or interest, in our case, our F150’s; nevertheless, there may not be a common or compatible personal connection, with respect to the diverse socio-background, personal culture, education, life experience, etc, of many of the individuals you are interacting with online. If you are here awhile, you will make some true friends; while some others may not be your friend. That’s just the reality of it.

So go ahead and ask your questions, and if some do not want to answer them, that’s their choice; however, there will always be those of us here, who will try and answer.
