Is the Bi-directional remote start really needed now as you are doing all with your cell phone from almost anywhere?

i was wondering the same thing as i already have the remote start (if your 10' away) system..

One feature that I used this morning was the lock button on the phone app to lock the doors while leaving the engine running with the keys in the pickup. Walking out of the convenience store towards the pickup, hit unlock on the phone, opened the door, buckled up and drove away.

No as the remote access app does everything and more with zero distance limitation. Only requirement is you have to have cell phone coverage.

I'll add that the app on the iPhone also gives confirmation feedback when truck is started. It turns green on the icon and vibrates if sound is off letting you know the truck started. It also displays the 10:00 minute countdown on the app letting you know how much time you have before truck auto turns off. If you have sound activated when you start your truck it makes an engine starting noise letting you know the truck is now running, not necessary but very fun...
