As a longtime Chevy owner and first time Ford owner, I'm finding a few design problems with my 2010 f150 screw, after 2 months and 1200 miles. I do not like the push button cruise control on the wheel. GM used a button on the turn signal that could be used without taking your eyes off the road. (Toyota's have the best design) Maybe just need to get used to it.
The huge passanger head rests create a blind spot while trying to back out of angle parking, and why did'nt Ford design a storage box under the rear fold up seats? Built my own.
Other than a few funny shifts from the 6 speed tranny, I'm very happy with my truck. At 17.9 mpg on my first road trip, it's the best mileage I've ever got on any of my 1/2 ton trucks.

I have had a few clunky shifts too. The head rest is to big. But other than that my 150 is more comfortable than any of the 6 chevy trucks I have owned. In comparison my ford ride is much beter

I do not think those issues are that big of a deal, not for me anyway,I have used the Cruise Control on the steering wheel before and is not that bad, As far as the Rear Headrest, they are a bit big, but I use my rear view mirror and side mirrors when backing, I have not had any problems so far, This is my first new ford truck and I am Loving it so far, only 300 miles and no issues, I just got it last week.

Same opinion here regarding the Cruise control and rear headrests. Those are no issues for me.

As to the storage under the rear seat. I know Ford totes the flat floor as a positive for sliding in large boxes and I'll go along with that. How-ever only owning my truck for a little over 2 weeks, I've already found that I'm looking for extra storage inside the cab. This is what I found yesterday. "Scroll towards the bottom of the page". I'm still deciding whether or not to get one;

Hello,
I have a screw also and have noticed the blind spot. The fix that I did was went out and bought tow max mirrors. I dont know if you want to spend that kind of cash, but the mirrors pay for themselves in the first week.

Headrests are pretty big, passengers love them. I have the rear camera and it really comes in handy. I would love more storage. The only issue I really have is the clunking sound I get from the rear tailgate step when I go over a bump, will probably end up placing some rubber pads to absorb the shock.

After driving a Ridgeline and a Civic Si, visibility in the 150 is not too bad. Seems most manufacturers are going to the larger "tipped forward too much" headrests. My transmission is finally shedding it's sloppy shifting and settling down at 4100 miles, leaving only that "just one thing".

My gripe: dash lights off during daylight and I can't always see the gauges. Guess it's a cap over the sensor on the dash!

shifts get the trans reflashed at dealer, there is a TSB out for it, other than that really? sounds more of a gripe than design issues. I am sure the passengers will love those big rear head rests when you get rear ended and there heads dont go through the rear window. You will love the head rests too when you dont have whiplash.

I think that a storage compartment under the rear seats would be a nice option, but I like being able to just lift the seats up and load things like groceries in. That compartment rmrc51 linked to looks pretty legit, though. Especially since it can hold two guns. May have to think about that in the future.

The gas mileage is one of the things that sold me. I didn't want to drive a truck getting 14 mpg. I average 17 on mixed city/hwy driving (and yes, that's by my own calculations).
