Rear seat climate...
Looking at a '12-'14 F150 screw. I'm looking at an FX4 with not many options than a XLT I'm looking at. Big difference is the console. The FX4 has the full console with cents in the back. I have three kids that will fill the backseat from time to time and we live in TX where A/C systems get put to the test. Anybody out there with an XLT have any complaints about climate in the back seat during the summer? I mean I'm basically paying $3k more for two vents, but if it's gonna make a big difference for my little ones.

I currently have those vents, and I have been running heat in my truck, and honestly, the temp coming from those vents is cooler than the air coming from the vents in the front. I am not sure if I am missing something or not, but that tells me they don't seem to be really effective.
The GM trucks don't have rear vents (at least prior to 2015, not sure about 2015s). I Just came out of a 2011 2500 GMC. It kicked out some decent heat and AC, and after driving a little while, they would usually say "Daddy, I'm getting hot/cold". The rear vents are probably nice to have, but absolutely not necessary. Remote start could help that too.

This is exactly one of the main reasons I went with the FX over the XLT. I actually had picked and XLT that my daughter loved and was supposed to be just going to sign paperwork.
I would have also missed the console shifter though. I am happy I went with the FX.
