Default Rear defroster not working

So i get in my truck this morning, go to hit the rear window defroster button and it fails to come on. Turns out the power sliding rear window has a tab on it that has a sensor. it would appear that this sensor somehow sits to far from that sensor and this prevents the rear defroster from coming on. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine has one line w/ a 1 inch gap in it. All line work except that one. Drives me crazy? A little bit.

I have the same problem. I took it to the dealership a couple weeks ago and they said it seems power is going to the window but defrost just isn't working. They are ordering me a new sliding back window under warranty.

Sounds like a classic warranty fix.

I had the exact same problem the minute I got the truck home!! Back to dealer for new back window...it went smooth. It was just a shock to have this happen right out of the gate....all works great now!! No issues...they'll get you fixed up!! Good thing for warranties!!

Thought I had the same issue, but I think my slider wasn't closed all the way. When I re-opened then re-closed it, it worked.
