Default Rear defrost??

How does the rear window get defrosted on the 09? Is it vented air or electrical?

If you have the electric sliding rear window, then you are SOL on the 09. It defrosts the old fashioned way, with a scraper. They figured out how to put the defrost on the 2010 models. I think you could get defrost on the 09 rear window without the slider.

EDIT: Confirmed that FX4/LARIAT and above had fixed rear window with defrost (grid wires), defrost was optional on XLT & STX. In the 09 the manual and power sliding rear windows were not available with defrost. Page 22 of the 2009 sales brochure. END EDIT

I don't know about an '09 model but I ask if a my rear window could be replaced with one that has defroster grid and the service manager at my dealership said yes. My truck has the button on the center dash and the he said the wiring for the rear defroster is already on the back wall of the cab.
