I towed my dads car home, and at roughly 6600 lbs (4400 for the car, 2200 for the trailer) I didn't notice much of a handling difference. I'm at 100K now and haven't had any issues with the blocks being out.

Anyone have Firestone air bags on when taking blocks out? I installed Firestone Ride Rites and the problem when not towing is truck is about 2 inches higer cause I have to have at least 12 psi in them so they don't bottom out. Taking the blocks out should put it back down to stock or less and still keep the bags the same. Just not sure how this will affect warranty that I still have left even though its a 2010 and when towing.
I don't like it this high but those bags sure makes it ride smoother.

Guess I should have specified. I'm in Canada-land. That's Km. So 62,500 miles. So not quite as big of a spread. hahah

Thank you for the idea I was gonna try to stay away from airbags for the cost and the possibility of adding a lift later on if I find myself a new hauler. i guess bags would be the simplest way, or just living with the extra rake lol

Was looking at mine and will have to make a modification of some sort to lower the brake line bracket as the bottom bag bracket will hit it.

I can't help with your airbag question but on you warranty one I've had my truck in for a pinion seal leak and had no issues getting it covered under warranty with the blocks removed

I'm going to do this to my truck tomorrow. Should I trust re-using the original u-bolts or not? Truck has 19k miles on it.

I reused my original U-bolts when I did mine 2 years ago. Never had any issues
