Default Really disappointed with sct

I have the sct x4 for my 2013 ford f150 ecoboost and haven't been able to use it for about two months. They did a update that causes the truck to slam into second gear under light throttle. They keep saying they are working on it, at this point I am getting fed up. The programmer is useless for my truck like this and I hate spending that kind of money and not being able to use it. I could get custom tunes but shouldn't have to, I was perfectly happy with the one it had. If anyone is using this tuner with the canned tunes and it works DON'T update it. Is anyone else waiting for them to release a update?

Yeah could have gotten FREE custom tunes if you had bought the tuner from them and you wouldn't have the problem. I know that's not helpful now, but the canned tunes leave a lot to be desired and the support of SCT isn't always as good as other companies.

I purchased my X4 from MPT w/ 3 free custom tunes. Yet SCT didnt add my ECU strategy for custom tuners, waiting that they do, so im using the 93 canned tune. The first thing i did was updating the X4 then uploaded the can tune. I can tell, the throttle response is better, also better consumption, thats as far as i can tell for Pros. I did get a hesitation in gear changes.
Impatient to try the MPT custom tunes.

Why would you buy a SC tuner with only canned tunes. That's like buying tires without valve stems. Stage3 wold of sold you the tuner and 5 tunes for life from 5 Star for the same price. You needed to research better

I wouldn't run the SCT canned tunes anyway. MPT or SSI.

Canned tunes and I am not crazy about having custom tunes on a new truck from someone I haven't met. I was told I would only gain a extra 10 horsepower and maybe 10-20lbs of torque anyway. Is that not true? I was perfectly happy with the tunes before they updated them with the horrible shifting file. They told me they have tons of complaints but have no idea of when it will be fixed. They can't even tell me if it will be this month or year. I have custom tunes on my ranger and it was a PIA to finally get them right and I don't want to really mess with that on my new one. I had a ton of options with the sct x4, is it that much better to have a custom tune? I just want the programmer to work out of the box like advertised.

Canned tunes from someone you haven't met (SCT) aren't necessarily better or safer.
