It worked in my 2011, so it should work in all of them! Again, make sure you get the Inner and Outer Pinion Bearings.

I hear some of the early 2011s have the 2010 rear end.

The build date of mine was 04 Oct 2011, so not an early one.

So basically you are decreasing the size and strength of the pinion and rear overall ?

Total cost for the parts was around $1000 plus $700 to have them put in.

Yes the pinion gets smaller, and the crown gets bigger, but it doesnt decrease the strength of anything. Think of it like your bicycle, the smaller front gear (pinion) turns the bigger rear gear (crown) and it is alot easier to turn everything (more power) but less top end speed.

Yes both decrease strength of rear.Ford Engineers upgraded the size for a reason.Decreasing pinion size increases pinion deflection and smaller bearings decreases capacity also.

So you are turning 37's with 3.55s / 3.73s ? Would much rather 'risk' a 'weaker' rear end than try running 37's and stock gearing. Good luck to your tranny.

Yes I am currently running 3.55 gears with 37s and it handles it without issues.I do have 4.11 Ford gears on shelf till spring to get back to stock rpm (eq to 3.55 with 32s ).

As with everything with the dealership the price has changed. I called to get everything set up and now the gears alone are $1300-1400 and labor will be $1200 at least.
