Default Need New Lugs - Suggestions?

Tried to do a tire rotation but found my lugs are effed. The guy who did my tires said "you'll want new lugs soon, classic Ford swollen lug nuts!" but didn't believe him because he's got the biggest Toyota boner, I thought he was just being an ***.... he was right my lugs are all swollen now.

So I know people usually say "OEM or nah" but seeing as there is an apparent issue with Ford Lugs getting swollen I'm looking for aftermarket options. Anything I should look for? Watch out for? Anybody see any good deals out there?

Thanks for your help!

I think gorilla is the only one that makes a proper aftermarket large bulge replacement other wise go with dealer lugs.

Are the locking ones from Gorilla any good? I'm looking into getting some new wheels... a few guys at work have some nice modded trucks that haven't been touched by the "locals," but it wouldn't hurt to have them as a theft deterrent. Do you or anyone else have any experience with these?? Not sure if I understand how it works completely as I've only read some Amazon reviews so far, but it looks like you just put 1 locking lug per wheel?

Use a 21mm socket, and keep one in the truck (& a breaker bar)

I just went through this with my 2011.Several were actually starting to split. I replaced all the lug nuts with ones from Napa. They're still the 'capped ' variety, but should last quite some time.

Why do they swell up? First I've heard of this.
I've got McGard lug nuts on my Ranger, along with their locking nut. One per wheel. They are stainless, and carry a lifetime warranty.

Those are actually the ones I were looking at. I read a lot of bad reviews on the Gorillas and the only other ones I found with good reviews are the Pro Comp ones. We use M14 x 2.0 right?

And I'm not sure why they swell. I noticed last time I took them off one was cracked a little, now many of them are swollen to the point that the wrench doesn't fit around them anymore. (not sure what I'm going to do to get them off, but I know I need the new lugs first)

I see DANNO answered before I could.
I'm happy with the McGards, and the ProComps were my second choice. I've had a couple different sets of McGards on a couple different trucks, with no problems at all. I plan on staying with them if I ever need another set.
