Yeah I just tried your method I don't know whats up with these things. The passenger side rear definitely lets me push up the headliner easier and I can get my fingers under them no problem getting a bunch of the ridges out, but as far as the whole thing coming out it just doesn't want to let go. The damn plastic circle is starting to bend im pulling so hard and I don't feel it giving at all. The driver side rear barely lets me push up on the liner at all so I have no idea what im gonna do about that one even if I do mange to get the other side off

These are the style lights I'm talking about.

Sounds like a much bigger pain in the *** than just buying a new one and running a wire.

Not that I'm bashing it, but I'm not about to spend hours doing that for a similar result. Labor alone would exceed the replacement cost 5 fold - just not worth it IMO.

I honestly think it's better to just get the new brake light. The LEDs used are different and you're risking maybe not having a water tight light anymore. I replaced the light and ran the extra wire and it's super fast and easy. Mine is tinted now.

Just installed my raptor third brake light, thank god it was plug and play because I ran out of daylight and had a hell of a time just trying to plug the new brake light back in even with the headliner pulled down a bit...definitely not much room to work with

Well did it anyway. Took more time to remove cargo light from the cab than it did to super glue the led lights in place. got less than 10 minutes in the thing. Led's are inside housing so will see how long it holds up. Cost $5.00

Add mine to the 100% plug-n-play list. Glad it worked; didn't want to run the wire!
