If you have hill descent control it is plug and play

Finished!

Was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I did end up loosening the 7mm bolts above where the rear seat belts come out so I could move that panel a little bit more easily to get the wire tucked behind it. The light is just plasti-dip'd for the time being, except for the 3 LED's, until I can get it tinted right.

No lights.

Running lights.

Brake lights.

Video goes brake lights, running lights, and then running lights with brake lights.

It's just plasti-dip'd for right now until I have a chance to tint it. When I tint it, I'll be using night shades and clear coat with some wet sanding.

I just installed mine today with the help of my cousin. I have a 2009 f150 XLT and it wasn't plug and play at all. The plugs are different. I removed the wires from the plugs and transferred then back to my original plug with the fourth wire (black with white stripe) hanging freely. You can just tape it off. I then ran a wire to the fuse box below the glove box and for my truck I had to insert the add a circuit to the fuse 22 and then had the same problem with the leds on the new light not turning off. It made no sense to me but that's what would happen. I then decided to run the wire below the rear driver side door and spliced into the wire going to my tail lights for running lights which for my truck was purple with a white stripe. And it worked perfectly. Hope this helps!! And thanks to everyone who posted on here. You guys were helpful.

Maybe someone can help me out with this. Im trying to remove the two headliner push pins on my supercrew to drop the headliner and unclip my third brake light. Ive been pulling pretty hard and they don't seem to wanna come out...Do I just pull harder? I wanted to make sure before I broke anything trying to get the damn things off lol

Try to push the headliner up around the pushpin and then get your fingers around the push pin and try pulling that way. One of mine came out by just using gentle pressure on the headliner and the other took the method I just mentioned. Usually you can get a few "ridges" out and give yourself a little more room to work with.

Read the entire thread, like the idea of the red running lights up high. Has anyone ever consider using red led single lights and just adding them to their existing 3rd brake light.

They come up to 10mm in diameter all you would have to do is remove light drill 3 holes silicone them in and wire. Would be under $10.00 investment.
