Default 2011 xlt leveling kit and wheels

I have a 2011 xlt crew . Bought a 2" auto spring leveling kit for the front . It came with the stock 18" wheels . Can I buy a set of aftermarket 17" wheels and tires ? What's the biggest tire without having to cut anything or rubbing . Sorry I'm new to the fords and wanna do it right . I love the fuel hostage wheels and the nitto trail grapplers. Offset etc is something I've never messed with . Any help would be appreciated.

If you prefer 17" wheels then you can certainly get a set, you just can't go smaller than a 17. A 295/70r17 would be a good choice in tire size. It is about 33.5" tall by 12" wide. As long as you stay with a 17x9 with a positive offset you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. Check out the tire and wheel fitment guide sticky a few threads above yours there is tons of info in there. Welcome to the forum

Thanks I will do some digging on that . I was thinking 17 in tires may be cheaper but not sure . As for the offset a positive will not stick out and negative will ? Or am I misunderstanding that concept.

You are correct a positive offset will will keep your tires tucked in while a 0 or negative offset will cause them to stick out further.

Lots of guys are running 35" tires with 2" and no rubbing.....

I have 3" and 34" and lots of clearance...not the same but shouldn't be an issue.....

My xlt was taller stock than my platinum? not all the truck's are the same stock. I have a 2inch level on my 12 plat an it still look's like shiit an my 305 50's rub quiet often, no way in hell i could run a true 33 1250 on this truck without tearin up some shiit.

My plat is leveled 1-1.25 in front. I put on raptor wheels and tires, 315/70/17 and have absolutely no rubbing.

The trail grappler is a great tire, but for your type of driving do you need a mt? If I was you I would look at some of the more aggressive at tires such as the goodyear duratrac cooper st/maxx, or the toyo at2. All of these are fairly agressive all terrain tires and can be had at a reasonable cost.

I don't NEED a leveling kit or a set of wheels and tires haha . And no I don't really need a m/t just wanted something beefy that will give my truck a good look to it . I can get the trail grappler in a 295 70 17 and the tuff wheels for 1650 on ebay and thought that was the cheapest route to go . I will look into these duratrac everyone I see on here loves them .
