Funny...At the end of the day, you are going to spend around $3k+ to get this done right with quality Ford parts(hood, grill, fenders, paint, labor, etc) so it does not look like some Hill Jack job. The Parts that come on the Raptor are not Fiberglass.....They are plastic...they will not check, crack, shrink, etc. I would be careful of people popping out hoods and fenders like we have seen in posts. No telling what they have done to prevent shrinking and cracking, how they engineered the strength members and all that. There is a lot to it. Open and shut that big hood a couple of times and have it start cracking and your going to be pissed.
If it were me I would take the $3k+ and put it to the difference in what the Raptor really costs when you factor in the loss of the rebates or X-Plan discounts not available on Raptors. You can buy Raptors all day long at Invoice + $750 or less if your order and wait. You will get a lot more than a hood and goofy looking grill. You will get the ride of your life.... But if you are not the type that will go out and thrash on a truck off road..don't waste your money. You will not even begin to appreciate what happens when the truck comes into its element. My $.07 worth

So true man, the raptor and it's 13" of vertical travel is killer! What held me back is that massive gas guzzling engine. And the gah stickers. If I had time to play, that would make the world of difference.

It looks like they took shortcuts so they could save money by not repainting it. The grille should line up with the headlights. What they should have done is attach and trim the bottom piece to the bottom of the top piece then attach the grille to line up with the headlights. I plan on getting a raptor grille mod summer 2014 if all goes well.

[QUOTE=EcoBrook;3199658]They shouldnt have put that lower trim piece on at all....its not even on the Raptor in the pic below. Wouldn't have had to cut the hood. They did a **** poor job at cutting it anyway.
I don't see where they cut the hood, I only notice where the grille surround assembly was cut.
