He qualifies for it because he refuses to work although he can. Instead of choosing to be a contributing member of society, he is choosing to be a parasite even though he has the means to earn his keep. It is taxpayers business if one is wasting taxpayer money. If he earned it lawfully and on his own accord, THEN it is none of my business what he does with it.
In all actuality over $500 billion was spent on social welfare programs by federal, state, and local governments in 2013 and that does not include any health care. In 2013, the federal government spent more than four times as much on social welfare programs(minus health care) than it did on education and is 4th behind(from most to least) pensions, health care, and defense.
Instead of surfing everyday, this guy can earn enough money to feed himself. Millions of immigrants do it everyday in this country, why can't he? If the guy has GOTTA eat then he wouldn't have spent the $200 all at once on lobsters and fish for the party for his friends. He would also live a more frugal lifestyle and get more less costlier food instead of spending it on sushi like he claims he usually does. This guy is a bum and a thief. Not only is he stealing from taxpayers, but he is also stealing from those that really need the assistance and who those cards were meant for.

He is earning it lawfully. Maybe not ethically but ethics play no part other than soceitys opinion such as yours. Food stamps are law, and he qualifies for it. Its the american way! Not his fault that system is in place so he can use it.

It is not the American way, it is what is wrong with America Today.
Just because you qualify does not mean you should use it if you can get by without it.

People use the system and milk it for all its worth. I work in the healthcare industry and I see more and more people every day using medical services, who don't have a dime and use our programs that we offer JUST to get a free meal on a constant basis. It drives me nuts knowing that they knowingly live a carefree lifestyle while us hardworking blue collar workers bust our butts just knowing that the government is giving them everything to their disposal because "they are humans and deserve a chance". Well, for the most part people are in that situation put themselves into that situation(with the exception of a few who couldn't help it) so I say they quit B******* about it and get a damn job so they can earn their way in life just like we do. Don't tell me fast food chains or anything isn't hiring. If you want to eat and have clothes or a car, go work for it. A little hard work and sweat never hurt anyone. The best thing that happened to me was going to work on a ranch the summer of my freshmen year in high school. Now that taught me how to work hard and earn my way!

One fact we do know about the driver: he's not white. Show me a white person in California who would buy rims that look like that. I challenge you to find one (you won't).

I can also guarantee you that he is not reporting other income like his band gigs to the IRS. How else would he have money to spend on others things and be able to spend his whole EBT card in one day on a party and have food for the rest of the month. You see bars usually pay bands in cash therefore he does not have to report it as income. If he did report the income then I doubt he would qualify for an EBT card. Therefore he is not earning it lawfully since not reporting income is illegal.
