No I don't think so. Just the textured finish.

I have these. At least the first gen. I love the size and styling.

BUT, This is my third year with them, and the bottoms are completely rusted. I live in MI and the salty-road winters are harsh. I still wash my truck weekly.

This summer, I will have to disassemble them, de-rust and re-coat.

If they made them for the SCab, I wouldn't be able to put in my credit card number fast enough. These are exactly what I have been looking for.

Curious, is there a product out there that doesn't rust in those conditions as far as side steps go? Sounds pretty rough I don't know if I would even expect $180 steps to hold up to that. What if you line-x them?

Had I known, I would have used some additional treatment on them. right now, the textured powdercoat is coming off in 1-2" chips. If I decide to sand blast them, I will probably have them line-xed.

Just FYI, Rampage suggested Krylon Fusion Semi Gloss black for touch ups. I contacted them before I made my purchase and asked a few questions about warranty and what was covered. Normal wear is expected, but can easily be touched up to match the current black paint for an even blend.

I will look into it.

I just fear that, without a complete stripping, the rust will continue. Will this stuff stop rust from spreading?

I can easily hit it with a wire brush and some Krylon.
