Default Radio popped and now flashes time

2012 F150 My radio popped the other day and cycled on/off then worked. Then a few days later it did the same thing but this time it now longer works. The time flashes in the center of the screen. It still shows Temp, BT and Direction.
I pulled the negative terminal from the battery and reconnected and it did reset it but the next morning... Time flashing in the center of the screen.

any ideas? (other than going to the dealer)

Thanks

So to narrow it down.....
It's either the ACM (Audio Control Module) APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) or the FCIM (Front Control Interface Module). Needless to say I have no idea how to diag these myself so I guess it's off to the dealership.

Thinking about this more.. WT... It's a radio, A RADIO for crying out loud!!!... This is going to cost!! UGH!!

All 13 sailor words!!! !!!!!

I guess I'll do that today. I watched a video and it seems like a very easy process.

been looking at salvage yards. No way I'm paying 500 bucks for a plastic 20 dollar part.. I may start researching upgrading the factory radio to something else but not sure how much more time I want to process this.

Think of it this way- I assume it's a MFT?, It's most likely a 40k+ truck, Just consider it part of the cost of doing business? The only cheap thing these days are our wages..........

After taking it to the dealership they turned me away to a third party up-fitting shop. That shop told me to take it to the dealership... NICE

How did things go at the dealership, OKreddirt? I'll do some research and see how I can help. What's the current mileage on your truck?

they say its the ACM (radio). I've opted to pull one from a salvage yard. Now way am I paying $800+ for a factory radio when I can get one for $125. Only after that will I see if they were correct.
