Default Radio out of tune after disconnecting battery

Hi - I have a 2010 FX4 with Nav... Last year my truck was at the dealer and the disconnected the battery to do some work. When I got the truck back, the radio sounded a little out of tune, or static. They referred to it as sibilance. I took it back, and they re-programmed or somehow re-tuned the radio to fix it up. Recently, I installed a new battery and now I have the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

LOL ... he's the one who stole the battery in the first place!

Just reset stations manually or auto tune reprogram each preset button you lose radio memory when batt power is lost.

Lightbulb

Review the owner's manual for adjusting how-to of the radio/entertainment settings. e.g. bass, treble, fade, balance, etc., etc., etc.

(owner's manual) Don't have one -OR- would like a digital, searchable desktop document?

Thanks guys, but this is not a simple question of reprogramming my presets or adjusting the bass (I know how to do that! ) This problem is much more esoteric ... when tuned to a station, it sounds ever so slightly out of tune, like a loose antenna connection or bad reception. In fact, when this happened last time I had to take my truck back to the dealer twice - the first time they claimed the antenna connection was loose and they re-seated it. That didn't solve the problem at all. I took it back the second time and that time they knew what to do. Unfortunately, the work sheet I got back was a little sketchy on the details. The only thing I recall was them mentioning to me they did it away from power lines.

Finally found the invoice... It says the dealer contacted Ford engineering who told them to "reset audio control module and perform am/fm relearn procedure away from power lines and other sources of interference". Can anybody tell me how to do this?

You'll need an IDS IIRC.

What's an IDS? Am I correct in assuming that if I don't know what it is then I won't be performing this myself?

Does it seem normal to have to perform this relearn every time the battery is disconnected, in order to get clear radio reception? Or does this suggest something is wrong somewhere?

Sounds like somethings wacky, to require all that! Yeah a IDS, is a programmer/tool of sorts that plugs into the OBD2 port.
