Default Radio didn't play when vehicle turned off "battery saver"

Normally my radio will play when I turn the vehicle off and don't open my door but today it turned off and said "battery saver start engine or turn ignition off". Anyone know why it is doing this??

Looks like your battery must be a little low on charge,,,, I have read of some issues of bad batteries and so on. But go out for a ride at least for 15 minutes on the highway or put a charger on it for a hour or so and see if this works. If you left something on or were working on your truck detailing it or whatever and kept opening the doors in and out it could have drawn down the battery enough for the monitor to kick the code.

Sheesh it's a 2013 with 8700 miles. I didn't leave anything on just started my truck from my house and drove down the block.

Edit: also my damn brakes every morning squeak for a while until they warm up.

These damn trucks have way to many electronic controls and although they make for some nice features they also can cause problems. The have a monitor on the battery cable that sends back info to the BCM to shut down before the battery goes below a certain voltage. Now some have reported that they see there dash lights come on for no reason sitting in the garage at night and so on. So it is possible that something is draining the battery down over night but I sure hope not for your sake as they are a pain to find. So if you have a charger hook it up and if not drive it as I said then see if the problem goes away.

I've had the door open and the radio on while cleaning it and had the warning appear after 20-30 minutes. It's normal, working as designed and nothing to be worried about. If it happens after just a couple of minutes and you have been driving frequently for longer duration take it to the dealer.

It's keeping you from draining the battery to a point where it won't start.

if his problem is like mine, this isn't "working as designed"
I am putting an email together for my dealer of the problems I need taken care of, and this exact problem is one of them.

IE,
I drove 3 hours back from family visit, parked truck, locked, left over night.
Next day start up, drive to hardware store 10minutes away, park, truck off, "battery saver start engine or turn ignition off" appears before removing key, or opening door.
Think nothing of it, "glitch in the system", come back outside, drive home, same message appears at home.
Using Torque Pro, no voltage is being sent at all... obviously that's not right, but having seen the regular 12.5-13.8v displayed in the past, something is wrong.

This has happened a few times since receiving truck in Feb'13. Once even while driving we received a similar message about "low voltage/battery ??" we didn't think of writing it down sadly.

been having my dealer look for the culprit on this exact thing for a couple of months now. I'm on my 3rd battery even though they are showing over 12.5v when this battery saver message shows up. I see there are others with this, so you and I are not alone.

See my thread on my trials and tribulations with this issue.

Well I am happy to hear I am not alone but unhappy that there are more of us! I will see if it continues I have only seen it once so far.

Default Same issue

I have 8300 on my 13 that was purchased in March.

I started getting the same warning for a week. I even plugged it into a battery tender overnight. One day it would not start(luckily I was at the track and had a jumper in the race trailer)

Finally took it to the dealer and they replaced it. Have not seen the warning on the sync screen since then.
