The beauty of our Adjustable Bilstein or Boss is that you can get the height right where you want it with the turn of the ring and while it is together on your truck.

Thank you for this. I will give you a call today. Quick question...are your bilsteins 5100 the ones that are available to be adjusted while on still on the vehicle? What do you or anyone recommend for an in between soft and firm ride? I've noticed lots of people like the Bilsteins and speak highly of it, so I might go that route since it's been proven to be better than stock.

I'd like the ability to raise the front end but I don't want to compromise the ride quality of the truck. But I plan on adding bigger tires eventually so I'm guess they would be the way to go. Right now I'm running the stock FX4 20" wheels with the Pirelli tire option. I'll just be changing the fronts for now because the rears are still good. But eventually I'll be changing the rears as well.
Depends on what you want to accomplish really.
Bilsteins will allow you to stay at stock height, or obtain 3 different level options: 0.75", 1.5" and 2.25" over stock if my memory is correct. If you go with [MENTION=156426]F150Lifts.com[/MENTION] adjustables then you have an infinite amount of adustability all the way up to 3" over stock. There are other options out there, such as OEM-like replacements from companies like KYB and Monroe. The Bilsteins will provide you with a slightly firmer and more controlled ride, with the option to raise the front end if you so desire.
Call or email Alex, as I'm sure he'd be able to supply you with everything you need...including Bilstein, or other upgrades like the Fox 2.0 coilovers.

I don't have Bilsteins...yet...but it's in the near distant future I hope. I need the CFO to cut loose some of the tension she's put on our purse strings after we bought the new truck.
However every comparison that I've read shows the Bilsteins to be a good compromise of comfort, control, firmness and void of that floating feeling you sometimes get with the stock components. The [MENTION=156426]F150Lifts.com[/MENTION] coilovers, or their BOSS coilovers will net you about the same ride quality apparently. Those are a threaded strut body so that you can truly dial in your ride height. Personally, I'm going to want just about an inch of height in the front so I'm holding out for the threaded bodies.
BTW, what model year is your truck? 09-13 or 14? For 14 the lower mounts were changed by Ford.

I just installed the 5100's a few weeks ago so I can answer a few questions.
You CANNOT adjust them while on the vehicle. Ride height needs to be set with the coil spring removed.
My stock shocks had 59K miles, the ride quality was much improved. I set the front at 2.25" which is the highest setting and replaced my rear 1.25" factory block with a 3" block. The truck still has about 0.75" of rake where the rear is still slightly higher.
The front install is a pain in the ***. But then again, any shock replacement in the front is going to suck. I had to disconnect the tie rod, sway bar and upper control arm in order to remove the original shock and re-install the longer Bilstein.
The Rear is straight forward. Lining up the pins on the block is as difficult as it gets.
Downsides? There is one. Since the 5100's essentially preload the factory spring to get the ride height there is a reduction in droop travel on the front suspension. You gain the 2" on compression, but loose it on droop. There will be certain scenarios (speedbumps) where the body of the truck is oscillating upwards (top of the speedbump) then the road drops away (backside of speedbump) and the front suspension will fully extend while literally in the air.
Pretty much every other road irregularity the truck rolls over it smoother. The valving in these shocks is really that much better than OE.
