Questions about removing and painting grillsurround

It's all pretty much the same. The only colors that will cost more are tri-stage paint, like Ruby red, or the white pearl color.
The body techs typically do all the disassembling. They seem to have no issues, and never break anything, but they have done tons of them. There was a video floating around on here about a month ago. Guy made it look easy

Thanks mbullock, I forgot to mention the difference in the paint. The guy that did mine went through several mixings to get the correct match.

Well guys, I'm **** out of luck right now. I called 3 paint shops in my area and they all basically told me that they won't paint it because the paint won't stick well and will start to chip over time. I've heard this is kinda BS, but I wasn't gonna argue with these guys who have been in the business for 40 years. I then called my local dealership and talked to a guy in parts who basically told me the same thing. Unfortunately, you can't just order the PTM surround, just the entire grill assembly which is about $800. I was really looking forward to this...Thanks for the help though.

If you can't find a painter, keep looking on eBay for the green surround, regardless of the insert as long as it can be separated from the surround. If you find it, we can further discuss how to swap out the inserts.
