Looks like they just wanted to verify the bumper hasn't been damaged. Actually it's one of the few panels left that hasn't been hit.

This is indeed ridiculous. I'm sure if you talked to a customer service manager they'd be able to get a resolution, I'd say it's time for a new bumper pad.

However, if this is your only problem with your F-150 in 3 years, you're doing pretty damn good!

Eh I wouldn't say that. But most of the other stuff was fixed the first time.

This kind of **** is why I will probably be going with a new Ram when my lease is up. I see it all the time on here how Ford denies warranty claims. They say "built Ford tough". If it's built so tough than why is it breaking because someone stood on it. The bumper is supposed to stand up to an impact. If it can't handle someone standing on it than it's not so "tough" now is it?

The Ram owners are saying the same thing though. It's just the modern face of car and truck manufacturing

Sadly, in a way you already have. 20 hours??? (at $25.00/hr, that's $500.00)

Standing on a principle is one thing. But cutting off one's nose to spite your face is another.

But imagine the pains Dodge owners (e.g.) are going through dealing with blown trannies/et al... I'll take the penny-ante problems over major issues any day.

Love my Ford

Dodge (RAM) charges a 100.00 deductible for warranty work, each time it's performed.

Ford doesn't charge anything for warranty work unless you have an aftermarket warranty.

I would know from experience, that's why I went to Ford.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee , Special Edition
2003 Dodge Durango SXT
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab ,5.2L V8, died at 68,000 miles. Dealership couldn't diagnose the problem.

I'd go with another Ram, if they'd be willing to waive the warranty fee to a 0 deductible.

When you buy a ford ESP you will specify the deductible and pay according to the plan you buy this deductible will apply to any warranty work done after the new truck warranty expires.

My experience with Ford Service... I started a thread here with problems I was having with my truck. been to the dealer a bunch. Ford Service said they would help. I got 4 calls from a regional guy from 'Ford Service'. every time he said go to the dealer they know what to do. I go to the dealer and guess what. they have no idea. this went on for a month and half.

I spoke with gm at dealership and they treated me right on a trade but it still was 11k to trade 2 years because I was not happy with my truck.

my point. Ford service sucks!!! they were absolutely no help at all. if I had a Toyota dealer in town I would own one! I have owned 11 new fords since 1986 and I get the run around. my new truck mpgs suck as bad as Ford Service. tomorrow I am going to drive a couple hours and may come home with a Tundra!

sorry for rant- but good luck with Ford Service or any warranty work
