Hey I am first time ford owner and have been really pumped about my new F-150 but the only thing that is bugging me about it is the Bright Orange Turn signal cover on the front of the side view mirrors. I was hoping there was a aftermakert replacement for that bright orange piece of plastic eyesore.

Any suggestion at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Its an XLT crew cab if that makes a diff.

A lot of people put in a black insert there like the XLs come with, and I've also seen someone put a white LED light there that actually acts as a turn signal if I remember correctly. Don't know the exact threads for these, but I'm sure you could find it easily with a search as it's a pretty popular mod. For the record, I'm keeping mine the way they are because a few days after I got my truck I was driving down a dark road that is somewhat narrow, and when an F250 (if I remember correctly) was approaching coming the opposite direction, his orange reflectors on the mirror was a great asset to judging how far over I needed to be so that we didn't hit mirrors. This isn't a problem on the average road every day, but the orange reflectors don't really bother me that much so I'd rather be better safe than sorry. Just something you might want to give some thought to before you decide.

You could remove it and just paint it black also.

Hello all. I just bought a 09' F150 and love it. About the mirrors, I actually want to do the opposite. Mine is an XL so it came with the black inserts. I would like to swap them out for the orange reflectors. I have looked all over the internet and can find nothing. I'm willing to trade or buy some off a site. Any ideas? Thanks.

I ask my dealer before getting my new truck how much the deflectors are? the next day she called me and order them free, today were installed in just 5 min. i like them for my fx4 regular cab, i think they look great a little more complete than bare black mirrors but also for security reasons i agree those small things help a lot in night, the color doesnt botther me since they match the orange lights on the front, what botthers me more are the fx4 decals, i am still debating between keep or remove them

I am trying to find the Tinted ones but I cannot seem to locate them. Does anyone know which model F150 they come on from the factory. I have tried them all and the only two options I have come up with are the two I have posted above!!! ARGH!!! I am going insane.
