2010 F-150 Fx4 problem

2010 F-150 Fx4 problem
The problem I am having is I can not fill the tank past 3/4. When I do fill my tank to full(the pump stops and will not take anymore fuel) I go to leave and the engine dies. I wait a few sec try again and she is fine. No check engine light or message. Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem.

Sounds like the Easy Fuel cap is not closing. See explanation below:
