Nothing exciting to read there, other then the odd diff, manifold or rad failure (on trucks over 60K miles), they all seem happy. There is far more entertainment here....every other post is about some failure or bug lately. Never used to be like that a few years ago. Something has gone terribly wrong at ford lately...and I am still pissed! Need to vent more.

Here's our new truck...it's tiny compared to the f150's and the other big three for that matter. Hope it isn't a lemon too!

Good looking truck man,
I had a 2006 just like yours, color and everything, loaded. I loved that truck, unfortunately a really bad divorce forced me to get rid of it after 3 years, had no issues at all with it in that time. The $400-$500 a month in gas hurt me a little, 12-14 mpg. First thing I did was de-badge it, tint and leveled then later some Toyo M/T's, before the level and tires I would get around 16 mpg.

Not the best picture, wish I would have kept more )=

That's actually kinda good news(other then the divorce part ). Our f150 was right around 17mpg lifetime, I was worried I'd be taking a huge hit on fuel, but looks like it might not be that noticeable. Previous year f150's were right about the same (my two other ecoboost trucks), maybe a bit lower. It's funny how small it looks beside an f150 but on its own seems to be much bigger! LOL's...oh...and it's impossible to tell which is a new truck and which one is 10 years old.

Ya and I think they look pretty sweet lifted.
Man, you got less on your ecoboost? I get around 20-22 mpg on highway and high 17's in city, that is of course if i dont hammer it here and there, wich is easy to do when they lady is with me, not so much when by myself,

Best of luck to ya with the new rig, I think you'll be happy, like I said, loved mine!

O and the divorce part ended up being one of the best things that happened for me, besides loosing a house, truck, dogs, lol
She was a controlling b!tch!!! haha

Nope, the only time I've seen 20mpg is maybe for a few minutes or so after resetting the computer. We live about 1800 feet above sea level, don't know if that's high enough to make any significant difference.

UPDATE:

1) The burning smell: It went away without me figuring out what it actually was. Didn't smell it the next day, changed the oil and didn't see anything, so cool beans.

2) Leaky rear diff: Ford pulled the cover, replaced it and the gasket, re-applied silicon and it was done. I though the other day I saw some more spots on the bumped but the truck isn't dirty enough to actually tell if it was leaking or not.

New-Issues:
1) Passenger door speaker: It's whatever but when the interior of the truck gets hot (sits outside work all day) the door speaker just sounds awfull. Almost like it is in pieces. We all know that the non-touch screen radio goes to a volume max of 30; I've never gone above 18 and that was only because the windows were down and I was rolling at 70MPH. sigh, just another thing I guess.

2) Warped Rotors?: This has gotten worse in the recent weeks. The shudder I feel when braking from high speeds continues to increase in violence. The only thing I can assume (since the truck just turned 21,000+ miles this morning) is that the rotors are toast. 21,000 miles? That's it? Does this seem a little soon? I am not hard on the brakes, don't pull hardly anything. This is a commuter truck, as much as I hate to say it.

Anyone else had any rotor issues this early??
