Well most of the roads I travel on have been there a long time. Never have had any issued with other Navs. My wife's 2012 Cadillac Nav is spot on.. Just hate to think a 2013 wouldn't have updated maps-

King, I understand. I was just thinking out loud. Hope they get it fixed for you.

I have a 13 fx4 with the same issues. THe dealership did an update which seemed to have worked but before i made it home ( 5miles) from the dealership it showed me on no road at all and no where near where i was really driving just like before. I will get with them again after the holiday to see what ideas they have. However if they can't fix it or a new nav unit does not work I am going to have them replace the truck altogether. I know seems a bit over the top but i did not order this thing and wait 6 weeks to get here so that it does not work. I can just see trying to sell it someday and have to say oh yeah the nav it never worked from day one LOL.

Your gps module needs to be reflashed to fix the error of the truck not showing on the road. There was a calibration error In some of the hardware that got used and a reflash was posted by ford. Take it in to dealer and software update should fix that issue anyway

I had that reflash done last Thursday and things looked a little better but it has already had the same issue no less than 7 times since then.

Default Tsb 12-11-1

Technical Service Bulletin 12-11-1 is your friend....see copy attached.

Just had it done....solved the navi problems and improved other things like phone pairing (system kept dropping my iPhone).

Dealer also installs new SD card for navi. Make sure they have this part in stock when you go to get it done.

Took about two hours to complete.

Good luck.

This is a known issue with the 2013 MFT, and from what I've read there is a firmware update that needs to be made to the GPS module.

Also, there is a new update for MFT out now, but it won't be available to Nav owners until January because they have to ship replacement SD cards. You're supposed to be able to order in January.

Why MFT even exists is a real mystery to me. SYNC/Nav Gen1 actually has more features.

Thumbs down GPS not working correctly

I have the same problem on a 2013 F150 Platinum 6.2. GPS is off by a few hundred feet - not always though. Dealer tells me that it is a known problem and they have no fix for it. All TSBs have been applied. Dealer tells me to call once a week to see if they have a fix. This is rediculous!! The old system worked perfectly. Why a new unit on the 2013 model that doesn't work?
