That price is outrageous. You already have 5yr/50000 power train warranty and 8/80000 emissions. Only thing you would be helping to cover are a/c, electrical/electronic equipment and so on. I would just fix what ever comes up because even if your entire air conditioning system grenades it won't cost half that much to fix it.
Floodford is coming up that you can't get it from them. I think the problem is that the vehicle has to be inspected over 36K, so your dealer has you kind of over the barrel.
Just to give you some perspective, at 36K, Flood would sell you a 100K 7yr Premiumcare warranty ($50 deductible) for about $1500. So yeah. there's a big profit component in there. See if you can't get your dealer to give you the Flood Ford deal for no more than 2K. The discounters sell these things on maybe a $65 margin, so giving your dealer a $565 margin ought to be more than fair.
$2388.00 price seems high to me as well. I have a 7 yr, 125,000 premium warranty with $100.00 deduct for 1680.00 (Flood Ford) . I would hold on to that money and set it aside for possible future repairs and of course hope for no needed repairs.

That is way too high. When I bought my 2010 they told me $2300 for a 5 or 6 year ESP and I laughed at the finance guy. I bought one through Ford for less than half that. Even if you do need an inspection to get one now try another dealer or see if Flood can sell you one after you send them the inspection from your dealer.
Some of you are lucky to have dealers that charge reasonable prices. I like OP am not so lucky. Some dealers either think you're stupid and trust them, or they aren't willing to believe that other dealers are willing to work with their customers.
