Default premature oil breakdown 2011 eco

I decided to look at my dipstick rite before going to get my oil changed at 5,000 miles and man was I surprised it looked like it had 15,miles on it.I have never seen oil look that bad at 5,000 miles. At first I thought maybe my dealer didnot change the oil last service like I had requested. So I checked this time as soon as I got home and they did change it.The oil was clear as a bell then I checked it again at 1,000 miles and it looks like it needs changed now.Have any of you guys ran into this, what could be causing this

Do yourself a favor and never own a diesel. You'll be changing oil daily if you go by sight.

Due to the turbos you will get more carbon in the oil. Because there is a higher compression and also the turbos are also have oil in them to lubricate them. Its normal and as long as you use good oil filters it will just be a color and any "big" chucks that could damage the engine will be trapped.

50k on my Eco. penzoil platinum at 5k intervals with a Motorcraft filter. Oil stays as clean, or cleaner, than any gas engine I've ever had. When I drain it and put it back in the jug it looks brown, about the color of honey. Not black at all, not even dark. I have been looking at trucks/cars in the back lots of more than one dealership and witnessed the bulk oil tankers filling up their oil tanks. My local ford/chysler dealership uses some super economy Sunoco or Citgo type generic label oil when they do oil changes. Not that it's bad oil. But IMO, if your paying for a Ford oil change, you would expect Ford oil, would you not? They advertise Chysler oil chsnges, up to 5 quarts, for $25.99, yet, when I go to the parts counter and buy 5 quarts and a filter......yeah.....it costs like $50. ($50 was actually 6 quarts, think the filter was like $13).

Can't use visual to indicate oil property integrity. If your concerned, have it analysed by Blackstone. This way removes the guess work.

But it is worth it for peace of mind I spent 42,000 on that truck and want it to last but I am not real optimistic rite now.I have had every single eco related problem on the list.I keep hoping after each problem that it it finally straightened out. Thanks op I will change to platinum after 3,000 on my last change

Heard nothing but good things about Pennzoil Platinum/Ultra Platinum.

A ford tech "fordtechmaculoco" said this is the ONLY oil he recommends in the ECO.

I just put it in my ECO on its first oil change. plan to do it every 5,000.

I can tell how smooth the engine runs already.

Put in the Platinum. Might try the ULTRA. Its the same price....

You cannot judge Oil by color oxidation. Not a very good way to judge it.
