I'll see if I can find out how the shop did it. they only folded when I locked using the remote lock/unlock, not the door switches... Of course it was a viper alarm, so maybe they used an aftermarket module tied to the alarm system...

Here's another idea you guys can play around with on the mirrors. When then gear selector is in reverse, the mirrors turn down to assist in backing.

My dad saw this in a luxury car my aunt has and thought it was pretty neat. I know when I back my trailer onto a couple of boards on my parent's turnaround, I lower the right mirror so I can see the tires on the trailer and get them on the board much easier.

Just something to think about.

This should be the manual for the module your looking at.

Must have a heavy foot as it should be much more than that.

Do like the idea of it being more automatic function.

Well I didn't research it as someone had found a module on eBay so if you need help let me know. my only concern about the eBay module is it is from china... that isn't to say I wouldn't buy it because it is made in china... as I have had good luck with many modules and products from china I just don't like buying things that ship from china.. I always look for a US seller selling the exact same part even though it is a buck or two more. At least I know I will get it in a week compared to customs! Most of all electronic components come from china even the ones in our trucks!

my friends Nissan Maxima does this. She puts it in reverse and they both tilt down a bit. pretty cool.

I like the idea of turning on/off for the mirrors to fold. hopefully someone can figure it out of how to do this.

I'll try it but it will prolly take a few weeks to get it in coming from China, unless I find one on this side of the pond.

Ok looking at the directions posted earlier as of now I don't think the switch will work... The module will but it shows cutting the fold and unfold wires on the switch and looking at the below diagrams it only has one wire coming out which means it goes into the memory module which converts that signal to fold or unfold! Take a look

so it is possible to locate the wires I have marked with red arrows and cut them there! That splice is located under the drivers seat where the drivers seat module is and of course you could go to the connector right at the drivers seat module! Again I don't have folding mirrors so you guys can tell me if there is a fold and unfold button on your switch???
