Default Power door lock issues

I'm having an issue with the rear driver's side power door lock on my 2013 Supercrew. This door will not lock or unlock with the key fob nor the rocker switch on the driver's door.
When I push the lock button on the remote and then the unlock button, the alarm (panic horn) sounds when I open the rear door that's inoperable. Found that out when coming from inside the store to put groceries in the back.

If I open one of the other doors first, there's no alarm. The alarm only goes off when I open the one where the power locks don't work first.

I've read about the actuator failures, but this seems to be different or a combination of things? Nearest dealer is 2 hours away, so it's a major inconvenience to go there. I'd rather attempt to fix it myself.

Thanks for any help.
