Removing or trimming the wind deflector wouldnt hurt either but thats up to you.
Oh, ok. I looked thru some threads at pics and see what you're saying. Never thought about it, but I agree and will probably take them off.

Ya, I took all the front crap off on mine. Looks so much better and matches up better also. You won't regret taking it all off. There's also so trimming involved nothing to crazy tho.

Did you just simply unbolt, or is it more involved than that?

Most of it is just unbolting. Once you get everything removed held by the bolts the black part in the middle of the bumper is what you'll want to trim. You'll know what I'm talking about when you take everything off, bc it won't look right until trimmed. If you have a angle grinder or something like that makes the trimming a breeze.

Is it just the black plastic or something a little more rigid? Never been under it to look.

Some garden snips is what I always used to trim fender liners and such. Assuming its something similar

I tried using garden snips also. The ends on both sides of the black plastic part are pretty thick. I had a hard time getting it started. That's why I just got the grinder out real quick. Not sure if that part has changed with the newer trucks mine is a 2010.

On my previous FX2 I had leveled, I took off the lower valance. Easiest way is to just take off the bumper. The lower valance is held on by 10-15 screws. I replaced mine with a lower valance with tow hooks. Look better because the 2 silver caps stood out to much. I now have the tuxedo black FX2 and the caps don't stick out as much.

Hoping this thread isn't dead... found so much useful info in here.

Thinking about putting a 1.5" AS on my 2013 KR 2wd when I go to replace the tires.

Currently running 275/55/20 and will upgrade to 275/60/20 or 275/65/20 if they'll fit without rub. Anyone have experience with those sizes?

Would that make my front end sit higher than the back? That's my biggest fear with putting one of these level kits on. Not looking to change too much about my truck, just want a more level look and a couple inches of height with the tires.

Thanks in advance.

You'll be fine with the 1.5 level. Ran both those sizes on my last truck which was a 2011 2WD. I had a slight rub with the 275/65/20 on inclines with steering wheel turned. But my wheels had some offset which probably caused that

Just a FYI.
With 2" my frontend was higher than the rear about 1/4" (measuring from ground to bottom fender flare).
