Default Tow Hooks Rust

I have one front tow hook showing signs of a tiny rust spot that is quite noticeable. What have you guys done to repair? Chrome touch-up, Plasti-Dip, etc?

My chrome ones rusted. Dealer replaced under warranty. Probably not a helpful post if you are out of warranty lol

Just take them off and paint them. I sand blasted my exhaust tip and painted it months ago. Still looks like a stove pipe. Which is what I want. Chrome looks crap anyways. My black hooks are un rusted and I take my truck EVERYWHERE

This is mine. I will try to polish out first but may just wind up painting them black or dipping. Please excuse the dirt.....wet spring. It's not bad, but enough of a spot to be annoying.

Those hooks will look pretty until you actually use them, just like the bed.

Here are mine. I plasti-dipped them, not because of rust though. I did it to match the truck lol

Looks like an impurity or something in the chrome. Polishing them with flitz will work but you will always have the reoccurring rust issue.

I will try that first. Your right though, it will likely come back in due time, so I may still paint or dip them, and nip it in the bud.
