Man, that looks great! And good use of the extra elwire too! I really like the idea of wiring it to the light switch.

SO, today I stopped in at pepboys and on the shelf they had a new product, that I can't find anywhere on the net or their website....but for 20bucks Pilot makes a product that is 2 LEDs glowing a fiber optic tube...this was the design I wanted to use but with RGB bulbs, but I couldn't find the optical tubing at the right size. The size of the tube on this one is bigger than the 2.2mm ELWIRE and doesn't feel as easy to mold to forms, but I went ahead and bought it and may play around with putting RGBs in place and giving it a try. If it works out the ring around the cup could change colors

I just wanted to make sure, since you are hardwired into the light switch, the ELWire turns on automatically when the truck auto switches to night mode? If so, I REALLY like that idea

Here is the alpha rough draft of the fiber optic tubing placed in the cup holder area connected to my preexisting ambient lighting.

At this point, I have the 2 ends of the tubing resting on the diodes covered with shrink wrap and electrical tape. In the video you can see the colors cycle through the tube in conjunction with the rest of the truck.

I'm going to remove my ELWire and mold the tubing around the cup holder. So far this is looking pretty promising
