Hey guys...may have been posted before, but what is the difference between the Platinum and the Limited? They look to be about the same except the Platinum has auto wipers and ambient lighting maybe? Have a 2010 Platinum here and thinking of moving to a 2011 Limited. Thanks in advance.

Limited:

AWD, only 6.2L engine, only 5'6" box, 22" white trimmed rims, chrome edged grill, , ambient lighting. Only comes in white or black. Mirrors are capped with body colour. Remote start. Max tow NOT available. Moon roof standard,

Platinum:

Choice of 5.0 or 6.2L engine, not AWD, 20" rims, satin, painted, satin finish grill, many colours to choose from. Mirrors capped with chrome. Max tow available. Moon roof optional.

A little lost on only white or black... Have not seen or heard of any limited 2011 or 2008 being black. Maybe I'm reading that comment wrong. Limited being limited production at 3700 total.

I chose neither. Too much chrome, compromised utility. Instead I optioned out an FX4. Full utility but lacks: perforated leather, cooled seats, rear armrest, rain sensing wipers and homelink. It also cost a whole lot less. I passed on the gaudy interior pimp lights which are optional on the FX4.

Limited only comes in pearl white. No real options. Comes loaded from the factory. Also has a much lower tow rating compared to a similarly equipped Platinum.

No 2-speed transfer case in the AWD Limited trucks... Deal breaker for me on any F150.

I would have to agree, AWD is nice, but not at the expense of losing low range, even if I might only use it once in 5 years, heh. Used to have a 08 sport track, was auto 4x4 which i loved and miss on my f150, but it had 4 low.

Limited has never been offered in black. Proly refering to ford promotions back in 08 that basically said the harley trucks were a black limited with a bad attitude.

I believe the interior is different as well. The Platinum come with a brownish colored leather and the Limited is two tone, black and gray.

I would not want the auto wipers. A friend has a Limited and the wipers come on with the least amount of moisture on the windshield. He had it disconnected.

I don't care for the pimp looking wheels on the Limited.
