I bought the Lariat Plus with Chrome, Moon Roof, Tow, Off Road Packages, I did not get Nav (cellphone technology works fine) or want retractable running boards or colored bumpers. I like the wood grain, fake or not. COuld not see the extra 5-7k (nav) that it cost. Love the ecoboost

If you are really stuck on the Lariat name, want everything that a Platinum offers without the sick wood grain, want power running boards, cooled seats, customish 22'' wheels, nav/premium audio, 6.2L, folding mirrors, pretty much all the bells and whistles see if you can still find a Lariat Limited. The price difference between a Platinum and Limited isn't as much as you think. I bought my LL in July and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I also read that the Platinum has better sound insulation/more sound deadener. I wasnt paying attention during my test drives, but I can say that my LL is just as quiet, if not moreso than my wife's Lexus.

Amen brotha. I can't compare that to the Platinum but my LL rivals any Escalade I have driven/riden in as far as comfort and ride.

short answer...yes. long answer...not entirely.

the dealer quoted us a lariat he had on the lot and a demo platinum that the GM was driving as a comparison. the platinum was $10k higher and I told my wife there is no way i am paying $10k more for that platinum! But once we added the nav, bucket seats with floor shifter and moonroof it brought it to a $5k difference, and the lariat was as loaded as it goes, 4x4 off road package everything...we justified the extra $5k for the platinum with the additonal interior features and the exterior look of the rims/tires, chrome package and same color bumpers. the platinum looked better inside and out and the only thing i really felt was a sacrafice was the off-road package, but i gained so much more with the platinum because it is my daily driver and being as i dont hunt or off-road the off-road package wasn't that big a deal. i drive more on-road than off so the platinum was the clear choice...for me!

Thumbs up

If the Limited only came in a true 4x4 version instead of AWD, it would certainly be one of the tops on my list of potential trucks, especially with that lower bumper! It's that good looking to me that I swapped it onto my truck!

I have AWD and 4X4H options on mine. Please explain how it isn't true four wheel drive? I know there are some LL's only equipped with the AWD option. Honest question.

4x4 Low? That's what I actually use most often when I really need it in soft sand, especially mucky beach stuff!

My main reason for buying my platinum was the aluminum wheels. I hate chrome clad wheels. The running boards are nice too. I like everything but the tailgate. Which I hope they change sometime soon!
