Default adding wheel well protection.

Well y'all I have decided to take on a new project to my truck. I am going to finish up the splash shields like ford should have done. I bought my materials from lowes. I will start on it tomorrow when I get off work. But here are some pictures of the materials I got. I will put the finish products after I am done. There is black plastic dip, assortment of drill bits, plastic retainers, and finally rubber shower liner. I think it will turn out good. What do y'all think and then please if you are going to bash me or say stupid crap then please keep it to yourself.

Curious to see how it turns out as I have both ford wheel well liners and oem Mudflaps, and have thought many times of doing something similar! Only maybe using some sort of rubber vs. A shower liner. But post pics when all done!

I have the rear liners and weather tech mud flaps. There are gaps between the liner and the mud flaps. I want to fill those and in the front there are huge gaps as well. My engine bay gets so much stuff in there. I don't know if you have looked in the front liners. That is one of the main areas I want to fix.

I'm in the Opposite Boat, Id like to fix the gap between the rear liners and flaps!

My engine bay stays pretty clean, but mines a highway queen...

I plan on fixing that as well. I just don't get why ford left that gap there. I remember in my 92 I never had these issues but then again times change.

The only Mudflaps I've seen that allow for enough room to attach the mudflap to the rear well liners are the GatorBack brand!

Two issues with using the shower liner is it will sooner or later crack as its too thin, and not weather proof like a thicker rubber would be!

I was thinking about that to. I am going to try and double it for now. If anything these can be prototypes. I wanted to do that originally but I couldn't find any place that had solid rubber like I needed.
