My wife's '13 Explorer did this while we were on a trip over New Years. We had only had it a few weeks and were concerned but like you said it took about five minutes then we got that screen. No issues since then.

the radio controls on the 2012 and 2013 platinums are completley different.

as for the SHO, it is a blast to drive. we have every available option(except for massaging seats) including the performance package, and my wife loves it. she had a '09 mustang gt that was runnin 12's, so when she got ready for a new car i knew we needed something quick. ford claims they run 13.7-13.9 in the quarter. i havent been to the track, but its pretty quick, i will be ordering a cai this month, with corsa cat back and livernois tune soon to follow.

Ecoboost owner what type of oil you use in your motors. I have a 2013 and looking to use Mobil one Synthetic

Default 2009 F-150 Platinum
Has anyone had problem with their nav unit/speakers. Yesterday i started my truck and can no longer get sound from the speakers, but the nav unit is on. I have pulled the fuses and pulled the battery cables to re-set but still no sound. Let me know if you have any ideas before i take it into the dealership.

I run the motor craft synthetic blend in both of mine. That's what ford recomends(of course that is THEIR oil).
