Looking at a white platinum. 4x4 48K miles, $28K, clean car fax. thoughts? Things to look for?

Not terrible, but if you can find a 2011+ they're so much more for your buck.

What are the major differentiators between the 2009 and 2011+ (was just trying to google that)

motors. 09-10 had the 5.4. 2011 and up have the ecoboost, 5.0, and 6.2

is the 5.0 that much better than the 5.4? Wouldn't consider eco boost (turbos and I do not get along) ... and 6.2 woof, overkill for me.

all of the new motors are better than the old. I have the ecoboost, and love it. The 5.0 is a great motor too. Makes more power and torque than the 5.4, and sounds great with exhaust!

Yes. But the last two years of the 5.4 aren't bad. Just depends on what's important to you. You'd probably have to give up the Plat and go "down" to a Lariat to snag a 2011 for the same price.

I've got the 5.4, and I love my truck, but if I could go back and do it again I'd buy a 2011 with either the ecoboost or 5.0. I drove 1200 miles in my truck this weekend and the top end power just isn't there. I'd much rather have either of the 2 new motors.
