The easiest method of removing some of the chrome would be the side strips, which can be taken off completely or paint matched. I may switch to black wheels at some point, as I'm not a fan of 20" wheels on a 4x4 anyway; would go all the way down to a 17".

Black wheels are the way to go with a platinum. I had one and hated chrome but I made it work
