I wasn't gonna wade through 229 forum posts, so jumped right to Poll results of out curiosity. This is a rhetorical question best answered only by FoMoCo, but results seem skewed by "Market Out" vs "Market In" sales. By that I mean in TQM-speak, Market out is where mfrs dictate to consumers what choices they have to buy whereas Market In reflects mfrs listening to consumer wants and demands and then offering products aligned accordingly.

Poll results of 639 responses shows; 50.9% 3.5EB, 21.1% 5.0, 18.7 5.4 & just 9.4% 6.2. An interesting corollary poll might have been; number of vehicles bought off the lot reflecting dealer or mfr order specs -vs- trucks special ordered. What I'm getting at is that FoMoCo has been steering the market for some time towards smaller displacement engines for CAFE objectives, as in evident by changes to the 2015 F150.

In any case, I'm not a member of the Platinum Club but they are beautiful trucks!

DirtDawg, I agree 100%. To get the 5.0L in my Platinum I had to special order. I would venture to guess that over 95% of the Platinums in my area are 3.5L, and when you do find one with the 5.0L it's a 4x4. To find a 5.0 4x2 one would have to look nationwide, and be ready to drive a ways to pick it up.

My vote is for the ADD venom front bumper. The lines are so smooth, it's just a clean yet aggressive look. Keep us posted when you pick one!
