Just received my WeatherTec mats today. I had to trim the rear for the Sony booster..anyone else using them? Are you happy with them? I'm a little disappointed in the edges, hopefully they will lie down smoother in time. I've ordered the WearherTec bed mat also. My thoughts were, since I have a retractable cover over the bed, a bed mat to protect the floor, would suffice.
My only negative comment would be that the rear mat does ride back a bit and i once and while have to pull it forward, wish the underneath had some grips to keep it in place. Minor problem.
Overall very happy.
As for the bed mat, another solution is to call to your local commercial flooring supplier and ask for some 3/8" thick 6' wide rubber sport floor and cut it in. This will add a bit more weight for the rear if you need it.

licence plate wiring harness issue
Hey everyone,
So, first full day with the truck and a few items are revealing themselves (not unexpected with a used vehicle). While there is a lot of info in the forums for the automatic step and the turn signals in the mirrors (issues that need sorting), one thing that I found was that one of the lights that illuminate the licence plate is not working. Not only is there no bulb, but the bulb holder is corroded and one of the connectors is broken. The harness that the bulb holder plugs into is also corroded and one of the wires is not even connected anymore...
Has anyone had this type of issue as I have been unable to find anything, including part numbers for the harness part. It is not really a complex repair (fortunately) but without part numbers or another option, I may breakdown and take it to the local garage...
anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, and pics are still coming, truck went from clean to filthy in 24 seconds courtesy of this melting Canadian weather...

minor update
Took the truck to the garage and they sorted out an issue with the parking brake cable (and cleaned up the rotors, both sides, from some minor rust) and replaced the damaged licence plate light, all for free of course. This garage is the one that the used car dealer uses for safety inspections, repairs, etc., and I can understand why. The owners (2 brothers and their mother) really care about the work they do, and it seems I have found the garage to take my beast to. They'll also be able to take care of my 530xi, as the owner happens to be using a 328i at the moment...
now all i need to do is work on fixing the ramp on the driver's side...

As you said, the WeatherTec mats did flatten out when warmed up. I live in Florida so it didn't take long..now, if they don't melt in August I'll be good! I received the WeatherTec bed mat also. I decided to go with it since I had the Retrax tunnel cover installed at the dealer. I had a standard bed liner in my previous F150 and wanted something a little more stylish. I'm very happy with the new bed liner so far, it looks sharp. I'm attaching photos.
