i didnt take the bumpers off or the emblems. the emblems you mask off around them about 3 or 4 inches and paint and let it dry for about 2o min or so. then peel the paper and the plastidip thats on the paint. there is a fine line between the emblem and the paint and that gap allows you to peel it right off and not have to use a razor or anything. its amazing stuff and works great. if you have any more questions feel free to ask. I did my running boards the other day and they turned out great. the pics i have i took the boards off but the girlfriend wanted to be able to get in the truck easier so the steps went back on

How did you do the grille? Was wondering if you just put a newspaper behind the grill and what you did about the little cross bars under the grill. They are the thin ones behind the chrome? Looks good though.

Do you paint the plastidip with a brush or is it a spray?

Here is my use of plasti dip, emblems and chrome bumpers.

Turned out amazing. Just cleaned it and tape well, keeping in mind the plati dip needs a gap to thin out over so it doesn't pull up with the tape.
You can not do a good paint line with this stuff. I was bummed to realize this.

How exactly are you supposed to tape off the area?

Just keep the tape on the plastic parts. That way when you peel it off, it won't take the plasti dip with it.
