I think the holster can be found for under 50$ on ebay and it really didnt take up much space. It was honestly a great mod that was super easy to do...

CrossBread recently came out with their Ram mount line, gives you a nice hard mount. Might try and get one in the console.

My only issue with mounting in the console is if you actually need it(getting carjacked) your screwed. Nobody is going to let you get into your console to grab the thing.

A 5" fit just fine. My carry is only 3.5". The big plus is you don't have to leave it holstered.

Yeah it could be a problem. Drawing while sitting in your seat could also be hard but at least it looks like you're trying to take off your seatbelt and not reaching for something.

you arent the only one using it, and im not bashing anyone, maybe you will never have a problem but serpas are dangerous holsters, have you ever read how many of the locks have failed on them when needed, now you gun is stuck in a holster. leo's around here arent allowed to wear them and im 90percent sure the military wont allow them either. just my opinion. manipulated by some research. check it out sometime. ill never buy one

In my area (DFW) there has been an increase in stolen firearms from new F150's. As of now, thefts were from F150's with the exterior keypad. The gun was left in console each time. Just something to keep in mind.

Thats the first I have ever heard of them failing. It was my understanding that agencies dont use them due to people shooting themselves upon drawing because they have **** poor gun habits.

Been using the Blackhawk Serpa thigh holster in the Navy for near 10 years... they are the holster of choice. Never seen a shooting mishap in all my years of weapons handling from a holster issue. Mine took some major abuse and never had the lock fail. Maybe we're just smarter than the general public.
