These pics were taken on my way to work on 14 October - the last time my truck moved. I'm starting to go stir crazy and have withdrawals...

Hey serious question here: how do you wash your truck when its like this? how often do you wash it and does it get dirty?

Mine sits outside 24/7 so I only wash in the winter when its going to stay above 20*F for a couple days so that way stuff doesn't freeze too bad. I use automatic touchless washes or I'll just go to a DIY car wash and just use the rinse feature to get all the salt/sand off. It usually ends up being done about once or twice a month and again, its mainly to get the salt/sand off. Usually when its 10* or lower, the snow just stays as a powder on the road and doesn't melt. So it actually stays somewhat clean when it gets cold enough that the snow is melting on the roads.

Othertimes if its really nice out, usually happens when I'm back in Chicago and not Michigan, I'll use the rinse at the DIY place and then do a rinseless wash using Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine.

And yes, it usually just gets dirty again the moment I go back out for a drive. lol

I do the best I can, like Chris's_FX4 said. It's hard to stay on top of it. When I lived in the interior, we could wash our vehicles in the fall and they would stay clean provided it didn't warm up above 0*F. It would stay at about -40*F for weeks on end, so if it snowed, it was all dry powder. If we drove south to Anchorage (where I live now), we would usually have to wash them when we got back. It's hard to keep them clean, but they don't use salt, so it's just road grime and sand. Mine gets washed once or twice every two weeks. Usually that will just clear the paint and all of the ice in the wheel wells will fall off by the end of the day.

This is what mine usually looks like after the car wash w/the ice caked in the wheel wells.
