Phone tapping noise?

FordIVTeam, I will go by the dealer and ask for a mic check and anything else related etc. If my first thread was misinterpreted I will give the run down again. Just traded a 2013 Tacoma, no tapping and clear with bluetooth, had 08 Tundra, no tapping and clear with factory bluetooth, had 08 F-250 , tapping with aftermarket radio bluetooth, fathers 09 Tundra synced to it, no tapping clear, wifes 2012 Nissan Juke, sync to it, clear no tapping, all with same phone which is Iphone 4, Verizon carrier. I'm having this problem too in my '14 XLT. It only happens with my LG G3 (verizon) and not my work phone which is a basic LG flip phone on AT&T. The G3 also did it in the demo truck I drove overnight, so I know it isn't an issue specific to my truck. It has to be something with Sync and this phone, one or the other.
Did you ever get a fix for this?

What I found out was it was definitely with Verizon.
Had it in my '11 XLT and even on my '13 XLT it was there but only when in Indiana or Chicago areas.
Other areas there is no knocking noise.
If friends call me from there (on Verizon) the noise is there. (All on Verizon).
Even calls when not in a F150 or on bluetooth.
Calls from other areas is fine. It is NOT the truck!

Hmm, that's interesting. They don't seem to hear it when I am calling from my phone itsself or on my Plantronics BT headset.
I guess I could always fire up my old S4 and pair it and see if it does it. That'd tell us if it is the phone/truck combo, or the carrier.
