Hello all, have a question regarding phone noise. I have a 2013 FX2, have sync phone up and deleted a few times now. When I call out the people on the other end say they hear a tapping noise until they speak. I just traded in a 2013 Tacoma and everything was crystal clear and previous truck same with same phone the entire time. Weird thing is, same phone I had in my 08 F-250 and same kind of tapping kind of sound but it was an aftermarket deck. IS this a Ford related ground or noise problem ? IS there a known fix ? Truck has 300 miles on it. THanks

So your phone made the same noise in your old truck and you think it's a Ford problem? I'm thinking it's your phone. Have you tried to pair your phone in a non-Ford vehicle to test it?

He said it didn't do it in his Tacoma...

I don't have these issues in my '13.

My dad said he heard the exact same thing when I called after buying. I didn't hear it on my end. Spoken to Nima number of times since and now he doesn't mention it. Must be gone as he would bit(h if it were still there. No idea what fixed it.

What type of phone are you using and who's the carrier? I'll see if we have any known feedback on that device.

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend visiting your dealership to have the microphone tested.

Had the same knocking in my 2011. With a Iphone 4s. Got an Iphone 5 and no more knocking.
WEIRD. Could hear the same knocking from a friend with a 4s in his truck. His isn't an F150

FordIVTeam, I will go by the dealer and ask for a mic check and anything else related etc. If my first thread was misinterpreted I will give the run down again. Just traded a 2013 Tacoma, no tapping and clear with bluetooth, had 08 Tundra, no tapping and clear with factory bluetooth, had 08 F-250 , tapping with aftermarket radio bluetooth, fathers 09 Tundra synced to it, no tapping clear, wifes 2012 Nissan Juke, sync to it, clear no tapping, all with same phone which is Iphone 4, Verizon carrier. Thanks for the replys
